probably be a no brainer since the californians can get california care health insurance cheaper, until they go broke and wuit offering it.
I voted no! I’m ready to strike for a fair contract. These democrats ruined the whole economy.
it would be id--tic to strike for D9.
I’m hearing they are accepting it
It’ll ratify.
Verizon Buys Frontier. Also, Verizon has more debt than AT&T I'm surprised to learn
Verizon Strikes Deal for Frontier
So, Verizon gets back what it was forced to divest a decade ago -- FIOS customers and the accompanying fiber lines.
According to the article, it is a broadband play -- you know internet access.
They are bullish that people will continually pay for broadband.
It also allows them to upgrade cell-sites (macro and micro) where fiber already reaches. Another good revenue stream for Verizon.
It is an all-cash deal $9.6 billion + around $10 billion in debt, a total $20 billion buy.
Speaking of debt, I'm surprised to learn that Verizon has more debt than AT&T.
Verizon's debts as of June 2024, was $172.98 billion. This includes all current and non-current debts.
While AT&T's debt ending June 2024, was $125.355 billion.
The big difference is employee count -- VZ has 93,000 while AT&T comes in at 149,900.
With district 9 TA and rumored 18% pay imcrease for district 3, costs will rise again for AT&T.
Exactly where does AT&T want head count to go?
