Seems like a stupid question, but locally nobody is 100% sure. Will those of us on strike get paid for labor day?

Be more concerned how you’re going to replace the 180+ days of pay you’ll be missing during this “strike” event. It won’t end anytime soon.
If your that concerned about one day of pay, you are in for a long T hold out on the contract.

I’m not sure but I think that you have to work your scheduled day before and after the holiday to get paid
