Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Overpriced Frontier

Looks like we are doing it again, buying something for more than its worth. Was looking at the Frontier layoff site and there are plenty of rifs there as well. And someone who could tell the future back in April saying Vz was buying Frontier. We are also inheriting more union people since many were unionized when we sold those assets. Hans did not look happy with the announcement and probably had the rug pulled from under him. BoD is pulling the strings here. Get the popcorn and strap into your seats.

In 2014, I sold my house for $350K. Last week, I bought the house back for $1.2 Million. It was a great deal for me, and I love the color that the previous owners had painted it.

I think the implication was that they were applying for a different position. Bottom line, it will all be one company after the sale is complete, so you can move wherever you want. There will definitely be downsizing among the management ranks. Who knows what will happen with craft jobs. What happened to the craft jobs when Vz sold Frontier? Do the contracts still have common dates across both companies?

We are carrying about $152 billion dollars in debt before the Frontier purchase so just add another $20 billion to our debt, plus the VSP monies in 2024.
