Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

New Bargaining Team

How can we (craft) get the bargaining team replaced? They're clearly over their heads, and offered only excuses. They don't have the negotiating skills to compete with ATT, so we need someone new. Their egos are hurt, and it shows. They've taken some comments from the company personally (2nd class employees). It's time to move on

If you will give me your UID I will make sure we replace someone with you? Oh you want the drunken lead spot for T.

The bargaining team don’t care about techs, they just want to get their big pay raises

The " bargaining team" is too busy enjoying unlimited UA time, per diem pay, fancy hotel rooms, and steak dinners with wine. Just keep the dues coming in.

It’s not even about the contract anymore. The company is working to install a vendor work force.

Glad T finally removed their bargaining lead but the next slug isn't any better.
Low life cheaters, fearmongers, groomers, liars adulterers, worthless groomers. Just a few names for T.
Don't take it personal.

T laid off a lot of there older managers in HR, the ones that understood the motto “F around and find out”. Capn Jammies probably met with a twenty year old sumpin sumpin, man-splained that he wants the union to be paid the same as non union in the south, and pretty young thing agreed and now we have this mess. Old HR knows you have to be firm, fair and flexible. T is now unfair and the pawns they send to the table are inexperienced.

It's not hard to figure out, it's called union busting. It's a game called chicken, see who turns the wheel first. What does the corporation stand to lose? Customers?
Consumer and media opinion? Do you really believe they care?
I'm of average intelligence, I could see this coming from a good ways out. For management and craft alike, it's a mighty stupid rabbit who does have a second hole to jump into. It's AT&T for Christ's sake.

I think T's refusal to negotiate is part of the plan. Plan to frustrate CWA, T knew they would call a Strike, hoping for it, would save T money, starve out employees to either cross the line or agree to a horrible contract.
