CWA leadership failure

Rhetorical questions incoming….Isn’t it the goal of the CWA to negotiate a suitable contract for its members? If the members vote it down, what does that imply?

Ratify before the Trump
Musk team comes into power. They hate union members

That implies Democracy something that may be hard for those living inside a critical environment to understand.

When the CWA presents a TA to the members, aren’t they saying, “We’ve been fighting for you and this is the best we could do. “ Which, BTW, they always encourage members to ratify.
After the members vote it down, they’re saying, “You failed to represent us and give us a reasonable agreement. “ So what do we do now, negotiate in perpetuity? I say again, the union only exists to perpetuate the union. Members are being played.

A majority down vote means the membership wants their bargaining representatives to re-negotiate articles, MOA, language, terms, etc.. that they don’t agree with in the “tentative agreement”. It doesn’t become a ratified contract until membership votes in the affirmative, no matter how many times it takes to re-negotiate. Part of the collective bargaining process, happened before and will happen in future contract negotiations.

It isn’t a top down authoritarian system, like Stankey’s world. The company negotiators are his puppets.
