CP work and Tech Strike = How good is this company to work for?

Questions on this.. the situations these negotiations put humans with families and responsibilities outside of work in.. what is your work/life like now?

My outside work life is non existent. I get home so late the kids are always asleep. My wife is getting upset. I am a raging maniac with the stress. My friends all hate me and call me scab, wife mentions loyalty and Dad told me to stay away. I thought I was doing the right thing but i messed up. That's how my life is now.

All your friends hate you and your family is falling apart after a couple of weeks of CP work? You need some better friends and family then. Or better yet, just gtfo with your bs story.

“ tick tock, couldn't wait for the strike”

H$ll yeah, most of couldn’t wait, especially when we are so undervalued by leadership. Even company sycophants were urging us to strike, calling techs overweight lazy union slugs. The bargaining team doubles down on it by calling Wire Techs second class. All the bad faith bargaining at the table. This company and leadership has a sickness that has been festering for a long time, it starts at the top.

Tech strike has been an eye opening for a lot of us. Time to spend with our families, work on projects and destress from all the unrealistic expectations and forced OT. It has helped my mental health tremendously by not being in such a toxic environment. Hope to go back before the end of the year, was prepared for a long strike because of what happened the last time in 2019. No rush, enjoying the downtime. Some junior techs are working other jobs to supplement their income but are also enjoying family time and the mental health break.

Shame on ATT C suite.
As a manager, I have been assigned to cross the picket line.

Way to go ATT! You’re a disappointment to non management and management alike
