Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

All this bickering

It’s ridiculous that so many posters think this is a fight between union and management. The only management posting here are the ones scr3ded into a cp assignment. The folks at the top are reading this and laughing about how you are doing exactly what they want. How about pulling together and make it about the common enemy? That enemy wants to scr3w union and low level management because they are self centered and terrible human beings!

@1hcg, there are hundreds of forums here. It seems the most active ones are those about the sh-t wrecked software companies, and I don’t think any of those is unionized.
Avoid swears and personal insults, that’s what usually triggers the deletions.

I’m not a socialist union groupie and am very pro business etc but I’m able the understand that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, which is why I’m siding with the Union (management employee here) why are ya’ll such haters?

You really don’t think additional pressure on Stankey is good?
Do you think if the company does well Stankey will toss his plan and actually treat us better?
NO!
It’s going to confirm that it was “his plan” that fixed everything, take a victory lap, and fire 500 more people while jerking off for the “lulz”.

Pressure on him, the BOD, and other executives that his plan ISN’T sustainable or going to work is the ONLY way things change.
We need to make things miserable for L4’s, L5’s etc til they start to complain and hate their lives as much as we do, then the BOD, then maybe they will get rid of that cancer Stankey.

I am amazed at the mentality here. Based on the latest CWA update, the union is asking for Zone B and C employees to move to a single zone (A). The idea that the cost of living in MS is the same as Miami is absurd. Straight from the union playbook. Teachers unions do it too. One cycle they fight for entry level. In this case it is Zone B and C. Then during bargaining for the next agreement they fight to get Zone A increased “because it makes no sense that those in Miami should make what those in Paducah make. If you really want an agreement, you should start with sensible requests.

The anonymous management here (not all) are id--ts. They don’t realize a win for one is a win for all. Those are the ones that create the hate and division. I hope karma comes for them and serves that dish up cold.

I guarantee that if the contract ends up being closer to what the union wants than what the company wants, management's benefits will be affected inversely. They defray the costs by taking away things from management.

I see one or two that have remedial training to attend when your forced CP gig is up, if it is ever over. You are weak and it shows. Technology is your friend, face time the family and get your azzez back to your MANDATORY ASSIGNMENTS or Your Fired.

"Managers have known CP assignments are part of employment since being hired."

When I was hired by a subsidiary of BLS I was not told that I might have to deploy on strike duty. When the subsidiary was folded into BLS and I became a BLS employee I did not sign any new papers nor was I told that I would have to do strike duty. So, you are incorrect.

The bargained employees are doing their part to expose Stankey and the gang. Unless you own millions of voting shares besides quiet quit or just quit, not a whole lot anyone can do. The surveys are swept under the rug and not posted because of employee legitimate concerns and discontent, they didn’t like the results! There isn’t any employee empowerment anymore, we are all widgets for the man and his cronies. Now get back to your sweatshop, Stankey needs a 4 million raise next year.

All hail king Stankey! Brutus, where are you!

Managers have known CP assignments are part of employment since being hired. How have they been sc3ded in any way?

Because they have to trust both the union and the company to take care of keeping an active contract working. It's called contingency planning not inevitable expectancy planning.

He’s right…individual contributor L3 , L2, and L1 are all getting sc--wed by Stankey too.
Our teams are getting decimated by layoffs, the work is piling up on those who remain, top performers (the real ones not the meme) are getting over worked and burnt out by the load.

Projects are falling apart due to lack of experts, bandwidth, funding…

Extra stress is piling up on top of all that with forced relocations & layoffs - it’s a nightmare right now.

Stankey is sc--wing the unions, individual contributors, and customers all the same.

They want us fighting amongst ourselves as a divided enemy is easier defeated, but our enemy isn’t each other - it’s the one who sits at the top and the BOD.

Wonder what sporting event Stankey is attending today and this week? The company resources are at his command. Randall may go along to consult with him and collaborate.

“ Us management employees are ASSIGNED a MANDATORY strike assignment.”

Surely you aren’t speaking for all because some of the CP eng. managers at our location said, they volunteered because they are getting paid OT. They flew in on their high horses from Texas. Some still bow at the feet and drink from the kool-aid cup of the Stank.

And another thing, to the union pompous as--s.
Us management employees are ASSIGNED a MANDATORY strike assignment.
We don’t just jump on a plane and ride in on a high horse to cross the picket line.
Our jobs are terminated if we do not show up to our assignment.

So don’t give any of us your stupid scab mentality behavior. We’re not part of your union and we’re not breaking your stupid union rules. And we don’t have the cushy bubble of protection that you all have if we don’t show up for work.

If you were to be terminated for not showing up for work every last one of your crybaby as--s would be su-king it up like a puckhead buttercup.

Bickering is stress relief because we all know beside the union striking for a fair agreement, there isn’t anything employees below the c suite can do about it besides, walk away or as Stankey puts it, quit!

Lords and the serfs, 1% globalist against all. Rigged system of the elites. BOD and execs are counting their money piles while the rest are fighting over crumbs, if they still have a job. The only constant is the elite untouchables whom have no accountability or consequences.
