Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This once-great company was ruined by Stankey and the rest of the management

They all acted like gods, strutting around as if they owned the place! In the end, the higher they climbed the corporate ladder, the more out of touch they became. It's truly such a shame to see AT&T in such a pitiful state knowing how things could have been with better people at the top.

Stankey has saved many customers from poor service by disconnecting them.
Stankey has saved many employees from inflation by surplusing them and lowering their income.
Stankey is the wisdom and the way.

“ But the BoD is at fault for letting these two clowns run amuck!”

Those rubber stampers are 100% complicit.

He should forego salary for the duration of the new contract to fund it. A real leader would.

My God the YouTube/ TikTok material would be endless.

It is overdue. We need to let podcasters know - ATT aka the Phone Company is ripe for investigation.

Holy sh-t you are a genius. I got laid off because they chose me to RTO in another state. I have been looking for a way to stick it to this clown and a youtube channel is the perfect idea. The channel would be up to its ears in topics just with the daily headlines.

We can have guest speakers and personal stories from all the people that got canned. Brilliant my boy, brilliant I say.

It's amazing that two people thoroughly destroyed one of America's most iconic companies and did so with no consequences. I retired in May and haven't missed a day.

AT&T died when SBC acquired it.

No. You're delusional. AT&T (Legacy T) was almost dead and SBC saved them. That was a mistake taking over a failed company and keeping it's failed leadership intact while also incorporating a lot of their failed polices.

When you think about it, this is not AT&T. Its SBC. However, it is Bell Labs, a division of AT&T that helped bring cellular devices to the world. The combination of the smart phone (iPhone) and the cellular network (where Cingular and SBC had a partnership) is what has kept the company going. Shortly after, Stephenson took over. Since then, all of the needless M&A (DirectTV, Time-Warner) (failed T-Mobile merger) have absolutely crippled this company. The BoD is the problem. AT&T died when SBC acquired it.

It would get millions of views/hits.

The BoDs of companies these days are nothing more that a Good Ole Rich Person's network. They get each other on boards for that payout and very little work.

How can any of the BoD’s watch any of the Stankey or Legg town halls and say to themselves; “yep, we be in good hands.” Boggles the mind. Especially when replacing them with outsiders would instantly boost the stock price and their filthy dividend.

Reminds me of a joke I added to the book I am writing:
The AT&T Circus is so big they even put Barnum and Bailey’s out of business.
