Report your rude manager

First step to change the toxic environment is to report your rude manager to HR.

Everybody is stressed right now. Unless your manager says you aren’t doing your job, when you are, who cares about their attitude? Do you see what’s happening at this company? We are circling the drain! Some of us don’t have the time to be delicate about things. We are literally keeping the lights on!

Yah, my manager was rude to me. I want to report them to HR because I don't want to actually understand what my manager was actually saying, or have the cajones to ask. All I was capable of hearing was perceived rudeness, not the actual issue.

OP,
Do your undies squish when you walk? I bet they do as you sound like the kind of person who is constantly in fear of everything anybody says to you.

NOTHING WILL BE DONE, they will do a fake investigation and a few months later you will get laid off!

I must be lucky. I wish my manager would come to town and offer to sit on my face.

(No judgments, positive vibes only!)

HR is to protect the company, why does anyone think HR is on their side?
I’ll bet the same people think the government has their best interests at heart.

Don’t forget…
HR is employed by the company. They work for the same company as the employees. HR has their own expections by working with executives and leaders on devising strategy to protect the bank. They don’t work with employees to benefit employees. HR is there to protect and benefit the company, not to help the employee. The employee is on their own. Most of HR is now outsourced outside of the U.S. anyway. They follow scripts to answer employee questions. If you listen you can determine if they are from India or the Philippines. Just like calling the call centers for account inquiries. When you do have questions they refer you to sections in the handbook to find the answers. You won’t be able to find out how to deal with inexperienced or inappropriate managers. Reporting managers only gets you retaliation actions. Where do you think HR complains to? It’s back to the manager with all the details you shared.
