Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Service Rep here

SE Strikers. You are having a huge impact on at&t. Customers in the SE are canceling in droves. People moving are getting installation dates 4 weeks out. We are missing a massive amount of appointments. The contingency workers are completing tickets without finishing work, in some cases without contacting customer.

We support you!

"if these managers are doing such a good job installing - why are our dates over a month out for installs ?"

on the news in our state one lady said they told her 3-6 months. she went with xfinity.

If the company had any sense it would rid itself of the union workers and start all over with contractors even if that means losing customers.

After being in the CP training for the third day now you techs are a joke. I can splice fiber with my eyes closed now and I can't wait to fu-k some sh-t up drilling holes in walls! Every customer will have their modem installed in the furthest corner of the house. They can go buy a mesh unit if they don't like the coverage. And then I'm going to sell them IPTV and make a ki-ling! LOL

OP, so you sound so happy customers are cancelling in droves. Less customers mean less work required by union. Du----s

Some of you seem to think the company runs and exist on what premtechs do. When a fiber is cut on an ASE circuit, fines are in play that cost AT&T millions of dollars a day. I had two of these just today.

Have fun...

Fake news. We d-mbed the wire tech job down so much that it can be taught in less than 3 days and mastered. And we have brought Mastec in to take over doing installations. The longer you clowns are gone the worst it’s going to get for you.

3 days, you are funny and a ph--king liar. Not unexpected from a company cheerleader. I doubt that the few weeks of training that prem techs get is enough. What I have no doubt about is the prem techs leave within 6 months. The turnover rate is really high.
Let us consider the turnover rate from core techs + (40) years and the turnover rate for Premtechs -(6) months.
Yes we are training a new workforce every month, and it takes more than 3 days, sport. I guess the company is saving money. Stankey has a history of making good business deals..

This is also true for management. It is becoming clear that T is overstaffed and can get along just fine with fewer employees to run day to day operations.

Those same contractors will be heading to Louisiana for guaranteed federal work not something that will only last a few more days. The training center is full of office managers not contractors. Good try!

What I have seen is installs and copper repairs have suffered, but otherwise, repairs are fine. Heard from a CP manager that the Managers are handling a lot of their own tickets and are learning fast and doing a fantastic job. Customers are happy the tech can actually hold a conversation for a change.

You union people sound high all the time,

Cow Bells, Eagles, Tigers, Rebels, Chomp Chomp, Dogs, Cocks, Commodores, Hogs, Volunteers, Sooners, Longhorns, Wildcats and Roll Tide (no good southern union people would Ro Tide).

I know 10 CP managers that have been dispatching from my location for 12hrs/6 days a week, would confirm there is no way they can keep up. They are very tired and frankly pi---d at Stankey for allowing this to happen and continue for this long. Missing their families and past ready to go home. Closing a lot of jobs that are temporized or not complete, some are keeping notes on those tickets others are not.

This type of union propaganda is as legit as the Whitehouse saying immigration and inflation are under control..😂

You union people sound high most of the time. Or like a religious nut. Can't carry on a conversation 'cause they're so amped up. Down here it's like the Bama fans who yell "Ro' Tide!" all the time--to everything.

We know, a few days ago the Wire tech load in our area had over 1,500 tickets pending. Thanks for your support. In Unity! Provisioning is nearly nonexistent.
