Where was TK's pride lanyard?

I’ve never heard someone talk about how much they loved their time at a failed bank more than her. Even the wach rejects don’t mention it anymore. I’ve lost track how many times BE has brought up Lehman sisters

Does anyone from the 80s/90s remember Greg the hammer valentine, the professional wrestler? I’m here to tell you BE is him

how humiliating for TK to introduce the new Head of Tech

It’s called a fireside chat because they know the whole thing is a dumpster fire.

While I support women in tech. I don’t need to hear about it every 30 seconds.

Same with people putting their pronouns in their email ID. I’m totally fine with trans people. I don’t need to constantly read about hour pronouns.

Funny stuff. They talk about retaining and recruiting talent when many of us are searching other company job boards for something more satisfying and reliable. haha

How many times do need to hear "women in tech" or "women leaders" in this discussion? What happened to the most qualified for the job? In another 3 or 4 yrs, it will be men who need to break the glass ceiling at this firm!

She just mentioned the potential need to be co-located with the business. How will India co-locate with the business?

Lmao. Copilot. That’s not going to solve the fundamental issues we have. I can see how garbage code goes out there from some dufus just using it as is.

These ol' ladies with their youtube'd AI learning talking about how generative AI is the next big thing.

There is already a lot of research out there that AI hasn't been increasing productivity at 10x like they all anticipated. Gen AI is very inaccurate at best and is several years away from being usable in a corporate setup.

OMG. TK has no clue how things work. We slow by design.

What BE said is not a sound approach. Good f@cking luck making all stuff cloud agnostic.

New Head of Tech was a Lehman when it went down in flames. In 2009, We took in upper management from Wachovia that was, according to the former Treasury Secretary Paulson, one of the two biggest banking failures in United States history. What could go wrong?

Don't get me wrong, lots of good staff and 1st and 2nd level managers from Wachovia, but to take in mid and upper management that ran the bank into the ground...big mistake.

“Of the twenty-five largest financial institutions at the start of 2008, thirteen either failed (Lehman, WaMu), received government help to avoid failure (Fannie, Freddie, AIG, Citi, BofA), merged to avoid failure (Countrywide, Bear, Merrill, Wachovia), or transformed their business structure to avoid failure (Morgan Stanley, Goldman). The stock market dropped more than 40 percent from its 2007 peak.”

So far BE is giving better answers than I've ever heard from TK. We'll have to see if she's capable of leading all of Tech considering that Charlie Farce brought her in, but her ability to demonstrate technical awareness and understand vendor lock-in risk is a significant upgrade from TK already.

She talks a lot about her experience with Lehman. Wonder why it collapsed if she and her mentors were doing such a great job there!

OH FFS. Talks about breaking glass bc she caused problems from being to aggressive and TK has to throw in an id--tic comment about women in tech. STFU TK.

17 years at Lehman Brothers up to its collapse. Started out as a Unix Admin. Probably knows more about technology than TK.

What mo--nic leader invites their predecessor that failed to interview them in a fireside chat? And why is she still here, seems like it will be more of the same, another weak ineffective head of tech.
