Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I’m just here for the paycheck

In the end. That is all that matters.

No commitment to my leadership ( liars, cheats and steals).

The company no longer cares about the employees (wonder if they ever did?)

Isn't that why everyone is here? or are there volunteers around?

just waiting for them to offer me a package and I'll be a happy one off their payroll. Will even give them a good review once on culture survey and mention they finally did ONE thing right in my exit interview. But instead many who get it are ones who still want the job. Not me, I've given up caring for a while.

I’m a sadist here because of Stankey’s management acumen.

I leave skid marks and boogers everywhere in the office to keep the cleaning staff in place. My favorite fun time is taking a big dump and then stuffing 12 wads in before I flush. Take that stanks

That is the only reason most of us work. Money and benefits. There may be other things you like about your job, but you are there for money and benefits.

“Yup. I have 10k steps in by lunch. And 20k by 3 pm. I know the office neighborhood well and getting some exercise in.”

Nice, gettin’ them steps in on Stankeys dime.
Killin’ it.

They used to when they were regional Bells. Your boss was in the same yard and the Bell President was in the same state and would actually make visits to your yard and office.

Now it's a multinational conglomerate wherein the execs never meet the rank and file and only view you as an expense.

I find it amusing when leadership thinks they can pound their chest and think they are instilling fear in us employees. Newsflash. We are MEN and WOMEN, not your children, The word “Employee” is nothing more than an illusion of power and control which no longer resonates with the general population. That’s why I enjoy my job so much now. It’s humorous, just like RTO.

If you do it for the money, you're in good company. Ok everyone, grab those ankles.

You are not alone, there any many people who are RIP (Retired in Place) due to the lack of support, caring or even basic decency at the company anymore.

Yep. It’s a job. Too many times I’ve gone way above and beyond and got nada for it. Seen many other do the same and get let go anyways. No more. Regular hours for me and I’m out. It’s a paycheck to pay the bills. That’s all. Want me to take on more responsibility, pay me more. Just had that convo with the boss, he didn’t want to acknowledge the work I was asked to do or give me a raise for it so I said nope. Find someone else. I work, I get paid. Want me to do more, pay me more.

This all thanks to our great leaders who are led by master Stankey. Toxic T has most disengaged workforce I ever saw. This company is beyond any hope for improvement. Like person with stage 4 cancer.

👏
Didn’t used to feel this way, used to be gung-ho go getter pushing hard…not anymore…got so demoralized from RTO/Forced Relocation and how the company handled it…I’ve basically quiet quit and just collect my check while waiting for the job market to improve.
