Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

My team except for one person never thanked me for the work I did past few years and all the transition meetings I did

Very disappointing to not get acknowledged by your peeers again. I set you id--ts up for success for a major project

Only one person thanked me. ridiculous

My indian boss after 10 years, never thanked me not even acknowledged my RIG. He is a senior director with a 25 year tenure in VZ. This is king of far that needs to be trimmed. After all this time you would think he has values , morals. Arrogant piece of sh-t lets see if he can even get job and make 1/3 of what he makes now when he gets RIF ed

If you work in a system that never failed you don’t get recognized, but if your system creates 2+ outages a week so get visibility and recognition.

Isn't this the honest to God's truth.

Thank you for doing what’s already expected of you as a part of your job. Ensuring continuity of the role that you have is important to the company. It’s unfortunate that you feel this is an additional duty that must be recognized rather than the bare minimum. I hope you have an injured yourself as you overextend your shoulder patting yourself on your back.

The way that VZ does recognition is to fill a blank we did it, other times is to help others to get promoted. I will give you an example. If you work in a system that never failed you don’t get recognized, but if your system creates 2+ outages a week so get visibility and recognition. So I never expect VZ give me any recognition, I love my work until they decided they don’t need you. So just move forward, and always feel proud for your accomplishments. Good luck for this leaving this Friday.

Seems like you want to vent and feel under appreciated. Well plenty of those at Verizon. Just be proud of what you are capable of doing and stop stressing the small stuff.

So you are the generation that needed the thank you every 7 days? Thought it was all the young folks fault but it seems it isn’t.

Good job champ! Wipe it off and get back out there.
