How is attrition this bad during such a rough job market? People are leaving, but where in the world are they going? Is there some secret amazing employer I’m missing? Or are folks just so over Verizon that they'd rather be jobless in these uncertain times than stick around?

I’m going into retirement. Verizon thinks it needs to cut the workforce to compete. They’re going full into offshoring to reduce cost. I don’t agree with them, but that’s the plan and reasoning. I’m shocked only 4800 people left. There wasn’t as much excitement over this so compared to the last one.
