Layoffs have been going on for the past 2-3 years. We just don't hear about it. It will continue. Several corporate companies are experiencing the same issues of inflation and reducing cost (overhead). Guess what's the largest cost?? Yup, salaries and benefits! This recent reorg has already cut out several high level positions/salaries.
