Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

GTS to experience RIF Sept. 29

Vivek is finding his Ba#l#L#s to execute RIFs on useless leaders that should have been done a long time ago. Most of this waist was brought in by Jay Smith. Now time to clean the house. Stay tuned. Value segment is sinking Nancy needs some competent leaders to save what remains of value. .

yea Jay Smith finally landed another 'job': a Board Level Executive position at AEG FUELS - he probably weaseled a fee out of them for showing up at the quarterly board meetings (the pompous ass just had to add the word executive to make himself look more important)

Don't worry the layoffs arent about cost savings its about getting the right talent. After this latest round we'll have the right leadership and team to take us forward and crush the competition. Well at least until the next layoff next month.

After the 100th layoff we'll have the right team and talent to win....maybe. But I promise it's definitely not about cutting costs.

Hey Post ID: @wllm+1uvSv6ls

What's with you and your love for "Nansy" - she's nothing but a career-bootlicker/lifer for Verizon, being shuffled around the organization to fill holes

I agree that I come from a business that was impacted yesterday by several layoffs. Having worked with many of the names mentioned in this thread, I can say that they are often the blockers to progress and innovation. Hopefully, we will see a competent team in place soon to provide Nansy with the support she needs to navigate this competitive prepaid telco space.

Incompetency at its best.

Vani Adapa stop kissing a-s in linkedin. you are too obvious, that coupled with your inability to add value its pathetic. you just keep playing the minority card and you'll probably be safe for another 10 years despite your lack of qualifications for the role

Scotty Deloachy, how are things going ? already discussing your exit strategy? , you look tired dude, you are at that point that you should start enjoying your nice unjustified high paying proceeds

Nihit why do you continue to overcommit and roll out poor quality products? Your big mouth is costing Verizon millions of dollars

Sayee how safe are you feeling hiding under Scotty? your lack of modern solution knowledge, your political game, your inability to be a leader is costing Verizon Millions of dollars

Viji , have you had your coffee yet? well what can be said about you, you are just on a scholarship, how is Catalog Management coming along ? have you move from discovery phase after 2 years ? try switching to redbull if by 2028 you are still discovering solutions

Scotty Deloachy might just be the most popular guy when the tribe speaks and wants to vote off the island.

Rifs are for individual contributors who are not friends with management. Alot of posts about management leaders who need to go.. well not happening they are all looking out for each other milking Vz cow and only riffing IC's.

After talking with many of Nihit’s org it seems the non Indian employees have no faith in their leadership. He throws them under the bus when he doesn’t know what he is talking about just to make himself and deloachy look good. If I were Deloachy, I’d watch out for Nihit as well he has no loyalty to anything than people of his own country. Poor value care team for having an incompetent IT Dev leadership to support them. Anyone who has direct dealings with that leadership needs to get everything in writing so the lies can be tracked. Trust me he is told on what roadblocks will come by his developers and then denies that he was told. Most issues could be avoided by tackling them when he is notified. Rather he prefers to keep his mouth full of “stuff” from his Indian leadership.

Value town hall on Monday how much worse can it get? Rajat and Vivek telling the dalits to get back to work?

Oh! and Nihit, the only phrase he knows is ‘This is not my first rodeo and I have done it million times in the past.’ He is a clueless leader, unaware of the ground reality, constantly speaking nonsense. Meanwhile, Vani and Sayee are eager to lick his a-s at every opportunity.

Let's not pretend S#a#y#e#e G#a#d#a#m#s#e#t#t#y is anything but a relic stuck in the past. His tyrant-style management is as outdated as he is, and he's somehow pulling a CEO paycheck for doing absolutely nothing worthwhile. Thirty-plus years in IT? Great, except tech moves at lightning speed, and he's still fumbling around like it's the '90s. Leadership? A joke. Can't communicate a single coherent thought. Vz is stuck with this dead weight, and the value segment is crying out for actual leadership, not this incompetent mess.

Has anyone had their 30-minute 1-on-1 with Scotty Deloachy yet? They usually show up the night before for an early morning meeting. Hopefully, Vivek finally found his COJONES and straightens out this department!

Principal consulting is not even a thing. Nor do they even have a profesional services page. Its basically jay overcharging for consulting services and allowing executives to keep a cut. ( same model he was implementing from within verizon)

At Nancy’s meeting last week, leaders publicly express frustration for having to use so many different platforms/systems.

Isnt this what the north start arquitechture (NSA) project was supoosed to fix? Wait?? Who is driving that stagnant initiative? Scotty friends?? After years and years and lots of useless meetings and dancing around the bush. Nothing has been acomplished. We need new leadership Nancy and her team deserve better!

In agreement with most what I’ve read here, someone is writting what everyone thinks

Let’s not forget about Viji G. and his absolutely electrifying low energy and glacier-like pace (seriously, I thought my Zoom was on 0.05x speed). He’s really carved out a niche for himself by delivering nothing of value, far more interested in playing the political game and buttering up upper management than actually doing any work. Just like Vani, it’s impressive how he’s perfected the art of social cohesion while our systems are crumbling, losing customers faster than we can count (but hey, if you want a real thrill, try porting your number to one of our "value" brands).
One day he’s your run-of-the-mill programmer; the next, he’s in a director role making decisions that clearly baffle him. This is the crux of our organizational mess—promotions handed out like Halloween candy based on tenure (and chuckling at Jays and Scott’s awful jokes) instead of actual skill or merit. This disaster needs a serious overhaul—like, yesterday.

Seems like the trash has not been taken out for a while in Miami ( literally) , should be interesting to see what happens by end of year. Anyhow Nancy needs some support so she run her value Segment succesfully.

Completely agree. The reason why this segment has been so stagnant for years with little innovation. Is because there has been egress of merit based talent, to make room for jay friends based talent. The majority of resources in leadership roles that Jay smith brought in, did not even go through a formal interview process. There would be a noticeable improvement just by replaced a few key individuals.

What others may see as confusion could really be the strategic chess moves you need to be successful later.

Oh, absolutely, couldn't agree more—V#I#V#E#K and S#A#N#K#Y are just the epitome of uselessness. Overstayed their welcome, completely out of touch with American culture and customers, and would probably love nothing more than to run the place like a family reunion back in India. Brilliant leadership strategy, right?

Can’t wait to see how this plays out by the end of the month. Value GTS is basically a museum for self-preserving, incompetent, low-energy “leaders.” Most of them are only there because they became experts at kissing narcissist Jay Smith’s crooked backside. What a legacy.

Honestly, Nancy isn’t that inspiring of a leader herself. She’s been bounced around several roles, including Marketing and Customer Service. Just because one has done it all, doesn’t mean one can do it all.
