"I was an L3 during the last activation and i worked. And succcessfully closed out about a dozen tickets. The problem wasn't the work and the documentation WAS available, but the problem was the lack of equipment, cards and equipment needed to do the job. That was when i realized that the current force on strike was going to gunfights with knives. I also became a clepto in 3 days stealing cards and equipment from job sites just to have them ready. The second thing was surprised me was how poor the maintenance was on the huts and undergrounds. The lack of tagging, removal of tags, cleanup, removal of deprecated gear, etc. Lastly, it was crazy that i could walk into a CO and swap pairs on a frame as an activated manager and nobody was watching the hen-house. Just walked in, did the work, put a post-it note on the pair swap and walked out after taking pictures. The only reason i had a key was from a previous office in the CO i had in the management level and mine worked."

Boeing operates the same way

I guarantee the you not one of the CWA employees could successfully perform my job for a single day.

No sh-t. What do you honestly expect? Like I said yesterday, we had zero hands on training for the actual work (doing the installs, cabling) and they were passing people who couldn't even slide the ladder off the truck.

I'm not joking when I say someone's gonna injure themselves, and AT&T is NOT going to help you.

Seriously, take care of yourself.

I guarantee the you not one of the CWA employees could successfully perform my job for a single day. Not all people that are defined as manager just create power points or shuffle paperwork. Manager are also the people who configure and manage the network, security devices and platforms.

It varies state by state workgroup by workgroup. Believe it or not here are a few niche workgroups with craft personnel voluntarily doing exactly what you just brought up.

That's some grandstanding there. What is it you do that apparently not one of at least 30000 CWA members with varying backgrounds including further training/college degrees can do? I guarantee you are that special. Get off your high horse.

Too many bean counters, paper shufflers and not enough technical, biggest issue I see at the upper levels

“I have nothing against the work or members of the CWA but it's ridiculous the level of ignorance that people display by making comments “

We (union) understand a majority of L1 or L2 are productive employees in various roles but once you get to L3 and L4 it’s starts to become a different story. A lot of paper shufflers and Power Point warriors at the 4 VP levels. Many staff levels positions are full of non productive too. We understand that their are exceptions so it’s a general statement not specific.

@ima+1uvTfKyR . low paid workers from India are doing your job while you take credit for it. Don't forget you get to take credit for the outages too.

You know it's funny how ignorant she of the people here are posting. I guarantee the you not one of the CWA employees could successfully perform my job for a single day. I have nothing against the work or members of the CWA but it's ridiculous the level of ignorance that people display by making comments when they have zero idea what other people do.

Barely have time, working on the weekly Power Points for the next meeting. Rinse and repeat.
