Rob Kafka's group has a bunch of virtual people while he's laying people off right and left. There aint nobody who plays the favorites game, than Rob. I guess when you run the whole RTO thing for Jon Summers, you get to pick and choose who follows the rules.

"We have 5 people on our team who have 1 office day per month"

Please clarify. Are these people near a hub location, or were they not required to relocate?

I can watch movies all day in the office too. In fact I watch more when I’m in the office because I’m vindictive that way.

You do realize they can ignore you on teams with “RTO” just the same as they can ignore you on teams virtually, right?

In fact, being in the office gives more cover as you could be doing some “office things”.

You best also believe if I’m made to RTO 5 days a week gone are the days of working past 5pm, getting on at 11pm for testing, etc…nope.
Never.

I get on at 9 take my hour lunch disappear at 5, if the code isn’t done too fu--ing bad

"We have 5 people on our team who have 1 office day per month"

We've got 2. Somehow they get away with doing mostly nothing day after day, certainly nothing of significance. Let our L3 show up for one of our meetings and then they can't shut up. Talk it up like they are hands-on involved in everything the team does. The rest of us are fed up. Move to a hub or find another job already. Our Manager doesn't challenge it because these two were approved to work remote by the same L4 and L5.

We have 5 people on our team who have 1 office day per month. It takes hours for 3 of those people to respond to Teams or Outlook. Each time they are called out about it they always say they didn't see the message or email. Every time! Unfortunately our team has no accountability metrics. How is it that the same people who abused WFH during the pandemic are the ones allowed to continue to do so?

“Wouldn’t sitting on the floor be an OSHA violation?”

Forget about OSHA. The press would turn it into a human rights violation.
Picture the optics. A person of color sitting on the floor 5 feet away from “another person” sitting at a desk. Aint nobody gonna care about who got to the office first. It gonna be headlines and ‘splaining to do on Ts part.

The person sitting on the floor might be caught on video getting up off the floor and saying he aint taking it no more and become a modern day Rosa Parks!
T can say they leasing the office but T cant deny they know about it.

It’s an office, maybe?
Are there regulations about what chair you sit in?

You remember all that training about posture and other office habits?
Company sure stopped caring about that really quick.

“Are you people really that beat down that you don’t respect yourself enough to take action to maintain your dignity? If I was required to be present to do my job and was forced to sit on the floor like a dog, I would have my phone out making a video instantly. I’d send a copy to HR, a copy to my attorney, and a copy to the guy demanding we be present without seating. Disgraceful.”

I just don’t go in, or coffee badge. Oh no seats? Guess I’ll go home.
🤷‍♂️

“Nah, Legg Wave 3 really are going out by the end of the month (at least some of them).”

Of all ages or just the 50 something workers?

“ Obvious troll post because if you’ve been in the offices in Atlanta people are still sitting in lunch rooms and on the floor.”

They won’t send letters about it. Your org will just tell you their new expectation like others have.

A lot of these posts here lately about wave 3, letters, 5 day RTO, etc are troll posts.
Guess the HR paid actors are mad about getting their as--s kicked by the union and want to fear monger more.

Hard to force full 5 days when there is no space!
