Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

TA reality

A lot of you all want the money NOW. I get that. The point of the TA/Contract is to continuously make your life better while working for the company. As most mature and grow over the five years you will see. 106k salary for ST,FT, DT and ETs. WT 72k salary With numerous improvements In contract Language and reduced OT and canceling hours . No reason WT can’t make 100k just by working incidental OT alone. The change In bump rights for wage scale 31 and 32 kinda su-k for ST position.

I don’t care how you vote just vote what’s best for you and your family . Don’t let other people’s cancerous feelings impact what you feel is good for you!

Both sides need to fire their bargaining teams because all they did was spread hate during this contract. This could have been handled way more diplomatically on both sides . I am so tired of hearing how bad AT&T is . AT&T has never been bad to me! Now I have had a boss or two that made me feel AT&T was sh-t but In Reality it was just an unqualified (sh---y) manager!

How much do you think you are worth. I’m CWA member but at some point we could price our self out of a job.

You have Stockholm syndrome. Are you unaware of everyone around you getting pay raises? What are your opinions on inflation? Why do you think people make more money today than they did in 1984?

Voting no on this BS TA contract. Slap another year and keep adding 3%. Cwa is a joke. How do we go about getting a new union to represent us?……..

You were definitely overthinking the way it was written. The summary of the TA has been posted since last night. Maybe you should have read it first before responding.

MODEST MONTHLY INCREASES.

Dude... from the CWA release below. Increases in the last two years, but not increasing every single month over and over again. And, they would have to document each month if that were the case (Jan, Feb, etc.) Its common sense.

2025 2026 2027 2028 2029
$153 $141 $149 $159 $168

“The monthly cost increases in 2028 & 2029, but it doesn't increase every single month within those two years. Nowhere does the agreement say that.”

It says so in the official press release -
“The health care agreement holds health care premiums steady in the first year and lowers them in the second and third years, with modest monthly increases in the final two years.”. MODEST MONTHLY INCREASES.

We lost on healthcare. it increases EACh Month every month at year 4-5.

Incorrect. Look at the document posted on the CWAD3 website. The monthly cost increases in 2028 & 2029, but it doesn't increase every single month within those two years. Nowhere does the agreement say that.

A simple average of the monthly contributions each year is $153 for individuals across the life of the contract...the same cost you are paying now. For families, the average is $420 vs $418. Essentially, your healthcare costs are flat for the next 5 years... which is a damn sight better than most people get.

The healthcare was the huge win for D3..

We lost on healthcare. it increases EACh Month every month at year 4-5.
Everything and anything gained in year 1-3 is subtracted by end of year 5.
What happens when the contract expires?
Premiums up all the way maxed and will never have a chance of a rollback.
