Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

First Sanbar and Now Kertz

Seems like the higher ups are jumping ship with a golden parachute. Not saying they were good just that they all seem to be leaving.

Jump ship ASAP. The higher ups are leaving then you know it is a train wreck. Get out while you can because when it happens there will be no money for severance pay. Except you know the Stank will get his.

“Amazon will start enforcing the strictest RTO policy in the industry this January. Good luck with that.”

And?
Isn’t that what you’re all saying about T?
5 day RTO is 5 day RTO, no reason to stay here and not go there.
At least Amazon has nicer offices, higher pay, more benefits, free food, etc.
If we’re gonna go to a sh---y office 5 days a week why go to the shittier one for less pay? Seems d-mb.

“We need to get younger and align ourselves with a younger demographic.”

Younger demographic doesn’t expect to have to be in the office to sit on teams calls and expects fair pay.
Younger demographic will go somewhere like Amazon if they’re going to have to RTO anyways.
Younger demographic only works at T because of the other benefits of working at T, such as being able to live in LCOL area, remote, and WLB.

I am the younger demographic and I’m leaving.

Jerrie was a fantastic asset and leader for C&E. She will be missed and hope she enjoys her retirement. I don’t get on these threads often, but ge-z some of you need to get a life and stop being keyboard warriors. If you don’t like it here, get out, it’s simple…oh wait, you can’t go anywhere else bc you have minimal skills 🤷‍♂️

Does anyone actually believe these were voluntary retirements?

Both had overinflated AVP head count.

The storm is coming for AVPs in November.

They didn’t want to deal with that.

42 years. She's retiring. That's all.

Long overdue.

Seriously I have been in and/ or around her orgs for years. She is a smart person and a good leader.

I don't have similar nice things to say about the guy replacing her.

FFS she has been with company for over 42 years! Stop reading something into nothing. Let her retire in peace! Not everything is a scandal. LOL

It relates to the Stink - the worse CEO in US History, top of the CEO Wall of Shame. Either the Stink pushes them out, or they get a better offer and leave because they cannot tolerate the Stink's toxicity.
