Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Really sad to see that Dailey upper level people retire and there’s a mass email sent out etc! But when one employee retires you hearing nothing! Enough said..

I questions the retiring part due to the amount of people doing it in the uppers. The amount of emails the past few weeks is alarming. Also in general att is going out the window. All the jobs are going overseas and wfh especially has zero growth opportunities. Many are looking else where

"I love all the employees who leave the group email to the team with a forwarding email address. I bet nobody ever contacts them"

I actually stay in touch with my former boss.

I only told my boss and a coworker when I was leaving. The people that I cared about I gave a call to them.

In our case they are replaced by an Indian person either in the US or in India.

Why don’t you start send out departure emails for employees at your local office if you are concerned? This would be a great example of collaboration.

“For every woman or person color (rare sighting) that leaves moments later they are backfilled with a white man lol it’s like clockwork”

Seriously? Hold my beer while I teach you something disgusting.
ATS is being relocated to Atlanta Georgia so that for every person that says NO to a move, it opens up an “opportunity” to replace that person with a hand picked DEI candidate. Why Georgia? Duh.

Jeremy is on record at more than one town hall stressing the importance and his steadfast goal in increasing representation, while also acknowledging that there are only so many people of color entering the tech field. They outlined other strategies but admitted other companies were also prioritizing representation. In other words, the pickings are slim. Nice strategy moving job openings to Georgia huh?

So forgive me if I call BS on your post. My reality is much different and so are many others. Just wait until they provide another UPDATE on their demographics.
Hint: You will NOT see an increase in 45+ year old White men being hired in ATS.
