This just in - supplemental pay is remaining as is (at least for 2025). Talks for 2026 are maxing out at 40 weeks instead of 52. Watch the health coverage changes coming out though!

Talks of sub pay being reduced have been going on for years. Glad to see nothing new for 2025. The talks of reducing the max to 40 week I'm sure have been had, and may be had again, but after years and years of no changes, I'm thinking it will remain 52 weeks. Maybe wishful thinking, but hope I'm right. I'm at the age now where I'm getting close to that magical 52 week point. It's probably the only reason I haven't left by now.
@2mt I took the op post to mean sub is ok but the medical coverage continuing during the sub pay period is going away. That would also be a huge saving
@1tmy BNY does not have a remote model. That’s all you need to know at this point. If you’re not in an office 3 days a week as mandated, your name is on the list.
Also, I’m skeptical of OP’s comment. The bank has stripped away EVERY benefit for the regular employees that costs money. Reducing sub equals a huge cost savings and has no effect on senior officials who have separation agreements in place. I guess we will see in 2025.
All of these questions and comments only prove what a total failure both HR and ‘my snores’ really is. Open enrollment starts on Nov 11 and lasts until Nov 22. Which also goes to show that more focus is given to the phony ratings and more lopping of heads to be done rather than invest in people’s benefits. Any other normal organization would give this a lot of attention and allow people lots of time to see the choices and ask the questions. This one only cares about shedding people to be cheap.
Does anyone know if any positions will be spared in areas where the office was closed and the person is currently working remotely?
If we are termed, do we retain medical for the sub pay period?
Thanks.
Health Plan changing for those whose roles are eliminated or for the entire population that purchases benefits?
Great subpay staying as is for 2025, any idea if it is still going to the business lines to self fund?
Any actual details on the health coverage changes?
I heard this too. Will be great if it’s true (as far as the sub pay). Not so great for the healthcare coverage.
