I’m seeing more and more people literally hanging up pictures of their family and leave a bunch of personal stuff in flex cubes or take the equipment so that no one else can sit there. No one likes RTO or having to find a cube everyday but seriously if you do that you su-k….

Your the guy that won a shuffle board game on the Titanic. Congrats, I guess.
I feel sorry for my future cubicle mates who will have to deal with me on Wednesday mornings after Taco Tuesday...
leave a used covid test and some crumbled up Kleenex next to their belongings LOL
Yes it does matter if they claim a spot as their own. I come in early. All the desirable cubes have squatters. Notepads, pictures coffee cups on these desks so no one will sit there. These cubes are by windows, far away from noisier areas like break rooms, etc. Trust me, they are not coming in every day. I sit in the squatter’s spot and dare them to kick me out. One lady walked over having just arrived and stood at the desk while I was on a call. so I gave her the stink-eye and she stomped off. I could hear her whimpering to her co-workers but nothing else was said.
In the end none of it will matter anyway, we're all getting downsized.
if the company wanted to entice people to come in more often assigned seating could help. At least no back to the old methodology where if you were averaging 4+ days per week you got an assigned desk.
It's ridiculous to have to haul your headset, mouse pad and coffee cup back and forth to the office. As long as there are enough seats for everyone who needs one, why do you care if someone stakes their claim to one? Get over yourself.
When people are forced into a insultingly ridiculous environment, mockery, cynacism, and rebellions small and large are inevitable.
I’ve seen people leaving notes with the word “SAVED” on the keyboards. I throw them away. That’s just now how unassigned seating works.
Perfect. Next time I’ll leave my used underwear in the space cause fu-k this communist RTO. Everybody DO IT! Real quick way to reverse this fu---d up RTO trend.
Place a picture of Charlie in the cubicle placed right below the monitor and staring at you, and a note saying that he loves his workers so much that for their health safety (ya know, heart attacks etc) there are hidden cameras.
Leave something smelly in the desk. Something really repulsive, use your imagination. Its fun. Then watch .. .
WFC is one of the last large corporations to move to unassigned seating. I have some friends that sit in bench style seating, not even a cube at other companies. Not saying it's right, but that's where everything is going.
Seems you need to go to a much smaller company to get an office or assigned seat.
“ Unclear whose side you’re on”. I’m on the side that has a bunch of dissatisfied employees on it. I think neighborhood seating su-ks and is stupid. My point is that our anger is turning inward when it should be to HY.
Shut up! You have a job.
Considering in my office most desks have broken monitors or not enough plugs to charge your computer and cell phone, sometimes people want to reserve a desk that actually has everything working.
I used to do that. Then I realized IDGAF about the office anymore. So I will sit anywhere for a couple hours and bolt back home.
Unclear whose side you’re on. The people landgrabbing cubes are not creating “balance” for anybody else. The people who want to get in and out and do their job without cube stresses are seeking a very basic form of balance.
Sure, let’s get mad at people trying to have some sense of balance in their life instead of the inane policy makers who come up w this cr-p.
Who gives an S? F the office, it's all horse S anyway.
There are many people in Chandler like that who apparently received permission to do just that because they are there five days a week.
Throw it all away. Or do what I do the other times. Make it look used. Open thier chapstick and leave it. Paper cup of 1/4 full cold coffee with desk coffee ring. Have fun with this.

Sorry, but Charlie stringently prefers the phrase, "Perp Walk" over the phrase, "Walk of Shame".
Every time I sit in a flex cube, I will throw everything that isn’t part of the WF flex set up in the garbage. It should be just the computer, keyboard and monitor. When I first started working in the office I was asked if I wanted a locker. I said no thanks! I will not be storing any of my personal items in the office overnight. For what? So that if I’m ever laid off I have to do the walk of shame with my bankers box? GTFOH.
CPG will find it and make an issue out of it. Just give it time
Just get there early and sit in their flex cube. Watch a replay of an old town hall
When I start going back into the office in mid-2025, even though I'm an FTE I will treat the situation the same as when I was a contractor on-site with various clients...I'll bring in a cheap replaceable hot/cold beverage mug and a charging cable for my cell phone. That's it, that's all, that's everything. No pics of my fam, dog, goat, etc. Don't feel like moving and relocating a ton of personal kr-p due to flex seating.
Ask the person who manages the floor or your manager about it. Occasionally it needs a re-set. If there are no cameras on the floor during off hours get passive aggressive and take their bricabracs and stack them in a single unpopular cube. You have my unbridled support.
