Community Service time to vote?

Is voting a qualifying use of Community Service time away?

The company is required by law to give you the time off to vote. Just don’t sc--w your coworkers by leaving them high and dry

The only benefit of time off is to avoid in-office days.

Wells has always allowed extra time off for voting but it's in a different bucket than PTO, community service, etc. just like bereavement.

However, unlike PTO, community service and the others are not automatically approved. They require manager approval.

Why would you do that? WF already allows ample time to go vote.
Use that time for what it’s meant for - community service. There are literally THOUSANDS of ways to volunteer!!

Unfortunately, it's not enough to count towards a day in office

It’s not considered “Community Service Time” but you do get 3 hours of PTO that you can utilize during early voting or on Election Day. You would request the absence like you normally would via Workday, selecting Non Routine event/Voting. I already had mine approved by my supervisor for Friday morning. Consult your management team if you have any questions.
