I see people saying they're planning to quit and I can't figure out their logic. Why in the world would you help them by quitting? That's exactly what they want, they're hoping people will walk away on their own. No severance to worry about, no liability, no bad press. It’s a win for them. Quitting is like giving them a gift they don’t deserve.

80+ hours a week? What a lie that is. You’re at the desk 16 hours a day 5 days a week? Yeah right.
Probably for my own sanity. I can make more money and have better work/life balance some place else. Doesn’t take long to make up for a loss of severance. Especially if you’re an unfortunate person that has to put in 80+hrs a week with no comp or overtime. Yep, spent all day in the office today applying to other jobs. They can shove it.
“It may take time to realize, but this will be a loss for T, not for me.”
It actually won’t be.
It is, it always does hurt them back, if it hasnt already. I am not playing their games. I will move on and find another job.
“Strike while the iron is hot. Amazon is better and pays more. I’d you have to RTO, do it there.”
👏

“I can’t afford to be out of work longer than my possible severance, especially if rumors of severance changes in 2025 are true.”
You must not reside in NJ. That stinks.
Some of us know we’re about to get laid off but don’t know when so started the job search already. I can’t afford to be out of work longer than my possible severance, especially if rumors of severance changes in 2025 are true.
Just don’t comply. They can’t fire everyone. Strength in numbers.
Yes better to just laugh it off and cash paychecks.
