Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Monitoring

I’ve recently seen some comments on here about bank monitoring work and what is going on. Here is what I will say, they are now tracking individual teams to see what they are doing on their day to day. They say it’s for automation and to see what processes can be done elsewhere, but some orgs are taking it to the next level about what meetings, etc. another notice is that there are many contractors coming in to fill FTE roles.

While I am not a bandwagon jumper about RIFS, but something is going on.

@rptr+1v9rgFdR - is 100% correct!

I don't swipe. Keep my VPN virtually nonexistent and am rated a a Top Performer.

Go figure.

Am not a slacker, I just seem to know a ton of $hit around here and how to get things done quickly. Manager depends on me. Clients love me.

I deliver. Always come through. I just don't sacrifice myself over it any more.

Been there, done that. No more.

In the absence of any pay increases, I gave myself my own raise by cutting my own hours.

Still paid, Still here. And I still produce more than 90% of the rest of our division (which is a big one)

Put yourself first. They sure as he!! won't.

If you are working a 14 hour day, that's your own fault. You don't care enough about it outside of complaining on here to do anything. Ain't nobody MAKING ME work 14 hour days. Your own fault.

We were told by our management today that for year end reviews, numbers are being monitored. If badges have not been swiped a certain percentage then HR will also check offender VPN. I honestly don't know if these are simply scare tactics or if this is actually happening.

We've always had lots of slackers here -- in prety much every predecessor incarnation. Managers (and HR) are well aware who actually delivers and who ki$$es a$$.

Unfortunately it's the latter who get rewarded.

The company can put in all the "Monitoring" it wants, but won't make a difference as long as the a$$-Ki$$ing, bootl!cking and Favoritism continue to reign.

It will just make Top of the House feel like they are more in control, while the core underlying issue is simultaneously right under their nose, yet above their head.

Wether they are in the office or working from home, the productivity isn’t there to warrant their position.

With all due respect, I don't need to be in the office to works my 14 hours a day.

And frankly, when I am in the office, I get annoyed by all the people who insist on wasting my time to gossip, b.s., pretend they are "working" and faking it.

I get much more done via email, phone and zoom at home.

Being in the office to be "productive" is not necessary for everyone. Stop judging.

Agree. Too many people are not pulling their weight of an 8 hour day. Always have excuses as to why they can’t come into the office, have to leave early or come in late, log in then turn around and leave only a couple of hours later.
Seeing this brings down moral. We see who the offenders are and nothing is being done about it. Been happening for years.
Bank needs to turn this around and get rid of the dead weight.
