Do employees who are laid off receive a prorated bonus (or full bonus if in January)? Do they get to keep the unvested 401K match?

You should be sure to bring your helicopter mom to your review so that she can describe to your manager how awesome you are.
Those who were laid off in January 2024 did not receive their bonuses. Tell all your 50 year old co-workers to be prepared. It process was brutal
Anyone who leaves before their bonus has hit their bank account loses their bonus. Trust me on this.
we were told IF we get laid off, we would have our bonuses cut, but that is likely fodder for something else.. I guess if it helps others on the team get what they deserve, that is probably okay, but what they really should do is give you what you earned.. if they lay you off due to cuts, so be it, but it might be the cuts are to help others while they help you, out the door more or less.
In past years, those laid off ahead of bonus payouts had their bonus cut. (To clarify, a January layoff person received a cut bonus). One year it was cut in half. Not sure what the current model is.
If laid off after 9/30, you get the 401k match. If before that date - No, assuming in both cases it’s involuntary and not for cause.
I got a bonus when I was laid off in Jan a few years ago.
No bonuses.
