Does anyone have experience or advice to share about applying for unemployment benefits after severance ends?
Does WF deny these unemployment claims?
Can not fulfilling RTO requirements (the reason for being displaced) be a reason for denying unemployment?
What if you haven't made any attempt to look for work while on severance (such as signing up with LHH)? Can that be used against you?
I was displaced in 2021. I had no problem filing for unemployment after severance.
However, unemployment is a bi--h. They will send you a log to send back to them of all the job searches you've made, including interviews. They want names and companies. They sent it about every month. If you don't complete it and send it back, they threaten to cut your benefits.
They don't deny you benefits or severance for failure to rto.
Unemployment lasts for six months. After that, you're on your own.
I was displaced in 2005. I was in NC and as ling as I went to school I was able to get unemployment while getting severance as well. Rules may vary by state.
Meh, I'm just an alcoholic that was pensioned off. If I can figure it out most everyone can.

Why do you think Wells has a lot of control over unemployment benefits? Just apply through your state.
In PA, severance is income, so after it runs out you can start a claim. Other states, who knows.
first of all you need to check the rules for your state. i am in ca which allows you to get unemployment while on severance so i got both at the same time. i just certified i was looking for work and could document by setting myself up for emails of jobs from linked in etc to prove i was looking . all wells does is use a third party firm which certifies that you were severed (didnt quit, wasnt fired) nothing more. the address which i provided to ca unemployment is in your severance package info
