Company isn’t competent enough to properly track presence. Tired of being questioned because they are incompetent.

“Be where you are supposed to be. Don't even think about the tracking. See how easy that is?”
This is the best advice I have seen on here in a while.

I purposely disconnect from the LAN and connect using WiFi anytime I am in the office. It will be interesting to see the tracker data on me as this stuff rolls out.
Windows disconnects from the lan when it goes into sleep mode. GTS and then option your computer to never go into sleep mode.
Shift click the id10-t url.
“Thats RTO tracker is a mess. I take screenshots of it when it says I am logged in via external VPN; Yet I am sitting in the office on a lan drop. Then send them to my boss so she knows they're bunk. They'd rather pay me to do this then actually work.”
What’s the link to look at it?

I looked at my report and one line showed me as being in a building that I do not even have access to and is a couple blocks away. Seems legit.
'What will be your legal basis?'
If they put the employee on a PiP then the copany has defined the reason for letting someone go. Even in an at will state firing someone after putting them on a PiP is dangerous for the company. The company is better off not mentioning anything and not taking any corrective action and just letting you go.
"If they decide to fire me because of their faulty report or put me on a PiP because of it, I will file a lawsuit"
What will be your legal basis? Do you live in at will state? If so, good luck finding a lawyer to file and represent you.
Most likely the top brass will just get a general report of the worst offenders on one of their HR dashboards, then they forward that info (likely a typical excel file, I love how everything is Excel email attachments in this company, spend millions on all these dashboards but official communications is still attachments in an email ROfl ) VP and AVP downstream to deal with it. Then its up to the AVP to handle it or they will have some splaining to do next time a repeat offender stays on their list..
Realistically, this company is too big and too many names on these dashboards for top executives to care, theyre more focused on their comp dashboards... So at the end of the day its how you deal with your immediate AVP/VP/Director that will determine your fate.
Are the cameras on the buildings that show you coming and going accurate?
In the last reporting that I was aware of when I was there six months ago, it was so hard to read and track a person‘s VPN status and location. Aside from badge swipes, I would be shocked if they managed to actually have correct reporting on location and VPN at this point.
I would take the matter up with your union! Heeeeeheeeeerrrr
"will file a lawsuit"
No, you won't. You know it, I know it, and the company knows it. Furthermore, all mentioned parties know you are a keyboard commandos lacking a spine. Consider your bluff called.

Paste it here sh-t for brains.
My hours worked reported was nowhere near accurate, I know that. Badge in office counts appeared to be correct. But average hours worked in office were way off. No idea why that is. I know others are having this same issue.
If they decide to fire me because of their faulty report or put me on a PiP because of it, I will file a lawsuit. Take that to the bank. I do not want to be terminated for a wrong I was not committing.
