This guy hit the nail on the head in his article and also in this video. I cannot for the life of me other than that a CEO has to assert his/her authority (insecurity) why they are so willing to loose good, seasoned people who are top performers. It makes little to no sense to me. I mean, I know it's likely Napoleon syndrome coupled with wanting to get rid of those that are making the most money, but it's still not a good move.
good video -- and is line with chatter in the office.
'I know managers that think driving from home to work is paid time.'
When my boss or my client calls me while I am driving to/from work, that time becomes paid time. In the previous flexible environment that was ok. In this new inflexible 5-day, 8 hour tracking, that time becomes comp time if I choose to take the call.
T is definitely in the Doom Loop
Remember, the RTO mandate at ATT is not to increase productivity, it is to reduce head count. And it is working.
"No more Costco runs during work hours. RTO and actually work."
show me my data, all else is just talk
"No more Costco runs during work hours. RTO and actually work.'
How wrong you are . . . my work location is only 2 miles from costco and sams, and closer than home. I get to visit them both during the work day now.
Confirmed via comment below: the Costco guy and the “actually work” guy are the same guy.
I know managers that think driving from home to work is paid time. SMH spoiled rotten.

We are also following the lead of a company whose employees have to ti---e in water bottles to not get fired
Someone should send this to our ceo
Doom loop: monitoring employee performance instills a sense of mistrust among employees, which degrades their performance
We need that lady to work in our HR leadership role
