Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Thanksgiving Layoffs

Many confirmed that ITO First Responders team as being eliminated and 90 head count. 20 or so more in GDI&A.

If you become a victim of one of these LL4's is it possible to rotate?

@4xum+1vE6D1SC Not sure if your question was directed to my comment or not. If so, I was not suggesting any specific Tuesday; rather that Tuesdays in general are a possibility, as are any day of the week for Ford people (there was a comment suggesting a Tuesday layoff was just trolling and wouldn’t really happen). I’m saying any day of the week is possible for Ford employee layoffs.

Will this happen this year/early next year, as a performance review issue, how's this going to play out?

What does empathy have to do with it?

Yes, the one off layoffs are centrally managed by the LL4s. If your LL4 is a jerk with no empathy, you would be on the chopper.

I’m hearing about one off layoffs around the company, seems to be centrally managed by the LL4s. Anyone know anything?

When you say Ford layoffs likely on a Tuesday are you saying 12-03-24?

What is the ITO first responder team all about? Is that the actual name?

@1qeo+1vE6D1SC Fridays after 5 are generally for contract people because it gives their employers the weekend to communicate (their access is scheduled to be cut off after working hours and they don’t want non-Ford on property when they are informed). Many times those releases are done in batches and suppliers need time to notify all of their people so the weekend is used.

Ford people can be any day of the week, but Tuesday is entirely plausible because they are told DURING work hours, and their access has been scheduled to be shut off in advance, aligned with the scheduled notification time.

The table is on Life@Ford, search for "Career Transition Program"

@1hat+1vE6D1SC They don’t give 1 month per year of service. There is a tiered structure based on how many years you have, with the max being 9 months if you have 20 or more years of service. If you have 5 years or less, you probably get 1 month severance, maybe 2.

It’s possible to give an A-plan PIN number to extended family members.

I won’t do it if I’m not working there.

The A-plan option is what makes it all funny. Why would the company think that anyone would buy an overpriced vehicle that has a high probability of getting recalled from a company that just fired them? Some 8-ball LL something probably thought that this idea would show how humane the company is, when in reality it just show how tone deaf they are.

Another one let go on 11/12. Max is 9months severance for 20+ years. Plus 3 years A plan!!

"I know they won’t give 30 months for 30 years."

Ha, Damn right they won't...and if I had 30 years I'd ask my self what the fresh he-l am I still doing putting up with Ford. If anyone with 30 years are doing anything other than sticking around so you can tell people to F-off you are simply wasting your time. You should be financially ready to separate. Seriously.

One month per year up to how many months? I know they won’t give 30 months for 30 years.

No layoffs in Model e is the most disappointing thing I've ever heard.

$6 billion in losses require layoffs.

"I was cut 11/12"

Really, on a Tuesday. That's odd. I guess can happen anytime. Would have thought they'd opt for a Friday.

Gave me A-plan for 3 years. Like I'm going to buy a piece of cr-p Ford.

They gave one month per year of service and you can get A-plan on a new Ford or Lincoln.
