Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

There's a burnout epidemic in my group

We're drowning in constant stress. The nonstop pressure is unbearable. What on earth does management think it's doing?

All by design to get you to quit.

This burnout topic keeps popping up. I read the comments, but I never see any of this doom and gloom in the office space. Are people so unprepared for adult working that they dial up the drama from a 1 to a 8?

You do not see it in the office because there are fewer than 2k people posting on this board. Look at the number of views a thread gets -- there are not many people here.

Stress is something you do to yourself. Don't give the company the satisfaction. Do only what is reasonable for a full time employee, and leave the remaining work undone. Working yourself to death to make up for the company's layoffs does not benefit you, the customer, or the stockholder. Until pain is felt in Dallas, nothing will change. Remember, for anyone hired this century, getting fired and quitting are indistinguishable. They can't take your vested pension, they can't bad-mouth you to your next employer. F them.

In over 20 years, which includes two buyouts/mergers, I have never seen employees as disgruntled as they are currently. But no one cares. That’s rhetorical bottom line. Time to move on. Why be loyal to a company who absolutely hates its employees?

you only have one job to do. yet you bi--h and complain non-stop. republicans need to hurry up and get rid of whining complainers. find another job where you will be happy.

“VP has become more and more of a Kool Aid drinker of late though.”

Those superfluous levels of “ VP’s” are almost entirely cut from the same mold. That is a corporate st00ge, b00ty sm00ching “politician”. Not to mention disingenuous & arrogant.

Start picking up some work responsibilities coworkers who quit or were laid off used to do. Working on new tasks can help shake up your routine.

Whenever people in my org talk one-on-one with others at the same level the conversation always reverts to the crazy sh-t that’s been going on. Never fails. Even my boss who has been here for a very long time has said they have not seen it like this.

VP has become more and more of a Kool Aid drinker of late though.

It’s all over the place.

Don’t you worry, once you start going back into the office 5x a week, you can be more productive thanks to all the culture.

Here's a tip: don't stress. Come in for your 8 hours and leave. Enjoy your life. Stankey has been sitting on a big pile of steaming 💩 and he does the same.

They don’t care. Matter of fact, they hope you fall over dead so they can collect on their life insurance policy on you.

That’s precisely what they’re desiring. Those “dark triaders” want employees so burned out & broken so they will leave of “their own” volition. That way, the Machiavellians can avoid paying severance.
