Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Any new info on layoffs?

All I see and hear are mixed reports and rumors. Anything that we know for a fact?

They won't get the corporate welfare $7500 tax credit, so employees need to pay a price.

"Hardly any... Stay focused and you will be fine."

You'll be fine because you'll worry about it less if you stay focused, rather than staying focused doing anything to shield you from being let go. Yes, don't sweat it. I know it's easy to say but really...WTH are you going to do if a decision has been made? Just keep working.

This information will be sparse. Expect performance to be a factor by not by any means the only one. Also, don't expect performance to save anyone either.

The JF and DF town halls last week were the worst I have ever seen.
You both got caught with your pants down for EV development and they are still doubling down on bad decision making for Ford.

Performance time, things are starting to come due with vehicle programs. I'd expect more. For some it'll be the push they need and have at least a few stress few weeks of holiday (hopefully some severance). Nudge to find something better. Just make sure you're ready.

It looks like very low key event. Keeping the numbers low so they don't get noticed by the media.
