Guess they went home and left it behind for RTO hours in office. Lol

Well with RTO, you have to swipe the door and log onto your computer before you head to Costco.
“ "Heard they are tracking you based on your teams status. Don't let your teams go to sleep."
This is accurate, however, I think they are looking for long periods of time, not an hour here or there for lunch or in person meetings.”
My TEAMS presence is always set to “AWAY”, you should all do the same.
I’m still at my desk like an obedient worker bee and on camera for calls.
But I show “away”.
Why?
Why not..?
People better read the rules. If you're not at your laptop during the day, then it needs to be locked down with a cable lock. If you plan on leaving your laptop overnight, then it needs to be locked in a cabinet. Security is going to start walking around checking.
"So, if you are working in a spread sheet for a couple hours and don't need to work with anyone, you are going to be identified as "not productive"?
I heard that they are also monitoring keystrokes so in this case, it shows that you are active on your computer, and you get credit.
Somehow they found data that showed employees are not working the full 40 hours, and are only working part of the time. This is where the 40 hours is coming from. I don't know anyone that is not working their 40 or so hours. Even if they are not in the office, most are logging in at home to do their work. If someone is not doing a full job, then it should be their manager that has to account for it. Seems ludicrous to have spyware looking at your keystrokes on a computer to account for 40 hours in the office. Many places don't have a badge out system, so they only can track when you badge in. Then they look at Corp wifi/VPN and keystrokes to determine how many hours someone is working once they badge in.

laptop works great at costco.
Ask your supervisor for the HR policy on monitoring. On your next town hall, ask for transparency in the methods, by whom, and when you should expect feedback from the monitoring.
They should be fired!

Why bring it home if we are not allowed to work from home? My laptop is connected to the lan 24x7 .
Hey att it's a 2 way street. If you want us to work from home outside our scheduled hours then you need to be flexible with your silly RTO policies.

It’s what I do during lunch. Is that offensive?
It's always been a thing, even before covid. All it is is the magats trying to start drama because elections ended and nobody's giving them attention anymore.
this is just self fulfilling HR propaganda to continue to pushing their tracking agenda, the snake biting its own tale
Wow, some folks need more to do
D-mb rules encourage d-mb behavior.
Seen it before, if the populace doesn’t believe in the spirit of the rule/law you get sh-t like this.
Not gonna change, just going to keep getting more silly.
I heard some people were getting in trouble for being in the office too long because they thought they left their laptops.
You heard me right, in trouble for working too many hours in the office.
This place is a joke.
Make a report to building security.
Probably just “collaborating”. That’s what they want anyway.
Or you could mind your own business. Just a thought.
Good.
Fu-k this stupid sh-t.
Yes leave them at work and at 5pm close the lid.
Designated office hall monitors are tracking this issue to identify trends and repeat offenders.
Another attention seeking BS POST
I went potty. Am I supposed to take my laptop with me?

I've been unplugging them.
“ Is there a way to identify when a mouse mover is in use?”
Only if it is seen. The mouse movers I have seen can just plug into a normal outlet or usb port.
They do not show up as anything
Fake post
Is there a way to identify when a mouse mover is in use?
Enhanced activity metrics continue to be added to presence reports. This idle time will be flagged.
