Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Rising through ignorance

It's amazing how the least skilled and least informed seem to rise to the top. The success formula at Ford is baffling. It’s almost funny, except it’s more depressing than anything.

Name a principle after yourself if you want! End result is the same, incompetent management.

The only thing you need at this company to move up the latter is to be friend or family member of anyone in the position to promote and you will be on your way. Otherwise you don’t stand a chance. Seen a lot of very very clueless people move way up the latter. Clueless promotes clueless. Incompetence fosters incompetence.

@1qxo+1vIVdY24 I disagree. The Peter Principle starts with someone able to do the work, and gets promoted until he/she cannot longer do the work right. Sorry, but I personally doubt a lot of "manglement" were able to do any work successfully at any point of their lives, except brownosing. Sometimes is not ignorance, just plain dvmb, but hey, they are DEI or FnF candidates, so all good (NOT).

It's called the Peter Principle.
