Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Nobody quits

Of all the people who threatened to quit, how many actually followed through? Do you know anyone who said they’d walk away and really did? I don’t. They’re all still here, doing the same things as before. People talk a big game but rarely act and as long as that’s the case, nothing will change.

Once the job market recovers many will leave. Only reason people are stuck here is because finding new employment is hard right now, and they know it.

I know of 4 people that have put in for retirement because of the 5x RTO. They said it’s just not worth it anymore.

The monthly layoff , most of the people getting hit are the people who wanted to leave voluntarily .

Premature observation. My notice is going in on 12/17 for 12/31, and that's because I'm feeling kind. RTO doesn't start until 1/6, and I'm guessing most will keep their mouth shut about their exit date until they decide how much notice to give.

I'm sure there are a lot of big talkers, but maybe try this question again in January?

I'm ready and willing to leave this very poorly mismanaged company because the layoffs never end! It's the only constant within AT&T and that's very bad for morale as we all know!

A lot of people are choosing not to move. I chose not to move but was able to find another position before I had to leave the company. There are a lot of people who will be off the books on December 8th.

Yes, I know many, and many more to come.

Using anecdotal evidence to support a position only serves to expose yourself as low IQ

We’re just losing the skilled workers. They’re leaving in droves. Had 3 from my team leave in the past 60 days. They easily found better opportunities elsewhere.

95% of employees know they don’t have employment options anywhere near the level they have at T. More importantly, T leadership knows this has well. Unless ready to retire, very few leave voluntarily.

OP- Where have you been?

People are quitting ALL the time due to RTO and by choosing not to relocate.

Would be awesome if the OP quit (or at least quit posting nonsense).
