Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Please opine, leaving in Feb. and not planning on going in to office after new year

have heard rto reports are anywhere from 4 to 13 weeks. Not planning on going in starting 1/2. Leaving firm after bonus. Figuring by the time they “warn” me about non compliance it will be close to bonus time. Also figure first warning won’t amount to anything more than “you are not in compliance, you must go in, blah blah blah.” What do all of you think? Already have job lined up, although not sure when, friend hiring me in q1 is all he can tell me now until his budget gets approved. Thanks everyone!

Re bonus, if you have a notice period and that 60 or 90 days runs over bonus payout date, you are eligible, but ultimately up to your manager. This is for retirement really, as I retired earlier this year and my 90 days went into March. I did receive a bonus.

“ Do you still get a bonus if you leave in December, or is it managers discretion?”
No bonus and not mgr discretion. Money stays in bank pocket and mgr can’t even change allocation if you don’t let them know in next week or so. Even if you retire no bonus if not employed on 2/14. Only way around this is if laid off.

When you leave, tell them RTO is a joke and the main reason you're leaving, even if it's not. Higher ups won't really care, but I'm sure data on this is compiled. Might as well make it a complete farce.

I am also leaving the company after bonus payout. I think you are probably safe not going in at some point in Jan. Probably mid month. I believe bonus payout is like 2/13. RSRs vest a week before, so that is another milestone. I am going to go work in our family’s business, so glad to be leaving.

Take half days in January 3 times a week so you dont have to go in.

That is just d-mb. The other d-mb thing is thinking your new job is guaranteed even after your friend says they need more budget dollars.

Comp is final on 1/6...keep going to the office until then, at least, to protect your bonus. Also, burn your personal holidays and volunteer time, they don't get paid out anyway and count as in office days.

Former manager here…your bonus can be yanked up to the payroll closure for that pay period. If you really want your bonus, go into the office as expected. I know what it feels like to want to give management the middle finger regarding remote work, but losing that bonus is not worth it.

Wait until mid December to flake out. Bonus mostly set by then. But if it were me I wouldn’t risk it and show up all the way thru 2/7 the week before.

As a mgr I have 4 week, 13 week, and LAST week avg to oversee.

Do not assume you will get a bonus until it hits your bank account. Do not give them any reason to yank it.
