Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Sitting them out this year

I have attended virtually all of our past "holiday" gatherings thrown by our department and our division. BUT, my last 3 reviews were lowered to "meets". A pretty big change from the past. I've decided to skip the upcoming MEET and greets (three as of now). If I am on the chopping block, just frick'n tell me already!

  1. Only DEI throws parties to make sure no one offends anyone. It’s their only purpose.

You know if you are being trimmed or not. Are you wfh? If no move to safer zone. Are you in a core city? If yes, then move to safer zone.
Safer zone doesn’t mean no layoffs but it does mean much lower chance. On the other hand if not in safe zone expect to get laid off or asked to move

There are no dept. parties anymore. Those went away a loooong time ago.
Now we have site cheerleaders to "engage" us.
All of that stuff gets deleted when it shows up n my inbox.

Meets is a good review, am I missing something? I've gotten meets for every review in my 30 year career and still working.

Step 1: Throw a “party” and make it almost mandatory
Step 2: shame those then don’t attend
Step 3: make the employees pay for their own food and drink
Step 4: pat yourself on the back for a job well done and for being so thoughtful
Step 5: profit

It’s just that easy. Lol

It su-ks bet don't let it get to you because you might make it worse. I constantly got 4s and 5s. I got a meets at mid year with my new manager. You just need to keep playing the game. Think of it as a challenge. I'm not letting this new manager win.

Agree 100%. They offer to have a party to “engage employees” in an underwhelming attempt to make up for all the many ways they shafted us during the year. But then they know that it reflects negatively on them if there is poor attendance, so they guilt us in to going when that is the LAST thing we want to do after working all day.

For the last 5 years, I had 0 holiday parties. Working in the office.

I was sent an email invitation to the Bay Area holiday party. I moved away from the Bay Area a decade ago. According to their site, I'm outside their allowed geographical area.

All my internal employee data reflects this, yet they still spammed me for a holiday party they will not let me attend.

And people think this management group can appease the regulators?

I guess you’re looking for a lower rating then?

I never go to anything outside of working hours. It’s bad enough I have to stand around and smile and be grateful for a free piece of pizza at mandatory monthly birthday parties.
