Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Spread the word!!

January will be a Company wide slowdown. Slow to answer emails, don’t attend conference calls, cancel calls you host, and be the least productive you can be. You not available because you are “collaborating” in person, got caught up in the break room with a peer, someone stopped by your desk.. etc.. this company wants to live by RTO, then they will die by RTO. Make sure your coworkers are aware of this site and the January slowdown.

“I will do the job for which I am paid. I will neither go above-and-beyond nor intentionally slack off.”

The virtual signaling is strong with this one.

" I don't agree with a work slow down. Kind of a childish way to react."

Americans, what are you gonna do with them? Decades of brainwashing to convince them to instinctively think like a boss and live like a serf. Job actions are not childish.

“I will do the job for which I am paid. I will neither go above-and-beyond nor intentionally slack off.”

How noble of thee my lowly squire. But thy valorous deeds and loyalty shalt not be repaid in kind. Thee shall undoubtedly be cast out amongst the lions as all of thee lowly peasants were before thou. Now peez off.

You're late to the show. Most AT&T workers have been on a slowdown for years.

Slowdown should start now at least if you're in management. End of Years are done, keep new accomplishments in your pocket for next year.

I think it is okay to pray that you get laid off. I don't agree with a work slow down. Kind of a childish way to react.

You don't need to do anything special, just work 5 full days like they are asking and no more. Anything outside of business hours can wait for the next business day. Slowdown achieved, not by you, but by the company's stupid policies.

"Get like-minded employees together"

...then fire both of them. Please, for the rest of the Company. We are so sick of these malcontents.

Passive-aggressive action is not productive. Releasing your resentment this way is not going to help you or anyone else.

If you organize, then organize seriously. Get like-minded employees together, under one banner. Elect spokespersons and leaders. Lay out your constructive demands. Be ready to work with others on solutions.

Be also ready to be fired from your position, especially in right-to-work states.
