I send out some feelers every few months, just in case. For the past year, it was mostly silence. With this latest batch, I got several responses immediately. It's nothing I'd consider taking, but still, it's a major improvement I've noticed. Just in case somebody was discouraged in the past, now might be the time to try again.

For those who are discouraged...
Make sure your resume is concise and lines up with the job postings. Many people think they need to throw in everything and the kitchen sink. Most resume is read by software and not by humans so don't over do it with past job descriptions and accolades. Machines and recruiters won't be impressed. Be factual and know what you want in a job. Communicate how you can bring value to a potential employer.
Once I cleaned up my resume... I got several interviews and offers. Good luck.
