Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hard work still pays off

Just not at AT&T. If you want your hard work to pay off, you'll have to bite the bullet and leave. It's sad but true.

I can be such a dik sometimes. Unplugging the fridge. Unplugging the microwaves. Taking the dock adapters home every single time. Wiping a booger on the screen when I leave. Rubbing the badge swipe with sandpaper. Taking 10 sanitizer wipes at a time. Planting some rancid leftover food in the fridge on a Monday. Unplugging cables. Breaking off pencil tips in outlets and light switches. Wiping pen ink on door knobs. Wetting spare toilet paper rolls. Dropping granola on the floor. Dialing in to a meeting twice, using my cell phone with call blocker and then making noises with it. Won’t you all join me in embracing RTO?

They don’t care. Just be in the office 8 hrs and in the office 3x per week. Starting Jan you better be in office 5x per week 8 hrs. That and PLE completion is all they care about.

I haven't seen "hard work" at AT&T. Lots of complaining because life going nowhere.

It’s true. T doesn’t care about what you do. Just where you live, your age and pay. Probably in that order.
