I've got a job offer and I've accepted it. However, what comes next after? Is there really no 2 weeks? I've seen colleagues to be told to leave immediately.

So, let's say you want to quit by EOY - and you do get the bonus - you end up getting paid up then? I'm confused
Yeah just stay on the job until they figure it out. Might take a year.
“that is not the case. I know numerous people who've been surplussed and had not hit rule of 75. The bonus is prorated”
If you are surplused you are still eligible for bonus. If you just quit then you aren’t. Make sure you are on payroll the last day of the year. Don’t give your bonus away to the Stank.

it's not the same if you resign. layoff you get prorated bonus quit you get nuttin
You will come back here because you really can't leave AT&T.
"Don't start the new job until January so you can get the bonus. You have to be on the payroll through the end of the year (unless you're at rule of 75)."

Give them 2 weeks or however long. Honestly, I’d stay until after Dec 31. Use your vacation days and get the bonus.

You are FREE from Toxic T at last!
I see no reason to give 2 weeks at this point, or to worry about a "transition" or training your replacement. Management has proven they aren't concerned about that, so why should you. Just tell your boss on Friday at 4pm that it's your last day and good luck.
I see no reason why you cannot work both jobs (indefinitely). I believe they call that overemployed! That's some serious double dipping my friend, you could become very wealthy!
Do the next right thing. The thing that helps you sleep at night.
“If you have any respect or courtesy left for your boss, it's kind to give a two week notice. Be financially prepared however because they can tell you pack your sh-t and go, but most won't do that. They can fire you with a moment's notice so you can quit without it too.
If want to burn all bridges then just quiet quit, but that is some bad Karma in my book. Would haunt me.”
Despite how cr-ppy this place can be, giving notice is the bast thing to do if you can though you need to be ready to be axed right away.
You never know who can end up where down the road and how it can hurt you. For example, I worked for a real tu-d awhile back. Got out of there. A few years later at a different company, I found out the tu-d was interviewing for a job at the different company. I made sure the hiring manager knew not to hire this person (though he at least saw the signs in the interview on his own).
Just because there is sc-m here doesn’t mean you need to stoop to their level.
“Just work both jobs as long as you can. If new role is remote do it from the T office on the public wifi they offer. Collect two paychecks until laid off.”
This.
Collect both checks, prioritize the new job, do bare minimum (or nothing) at T til they notice (it may take awhile)
This is the way, fu-k them since they’re fu--ing you.

You don’t have to do anything or tell anyone. Just stop doing the work until they lay you off or the paychecks stop coming in.
They wouldn’t tell you, so you don’t have to tell them.
Dont resign. as others have said quiet quit for a minimum of 2 months. They pushed you out right? Do you think TechM support groups are “working” ???
This place is a sh-t show and everyone’s getting paid so that T can shovel money out the back door and into corrupt coffers ala Hunter Style.Dont listen to the self righteous baffoons telling you to do the right thing when T has been doing the wrong thing to you and your children all along. Milk it like a dairy cow thats bloated and ready to give birth.
The reason why you might be asked to leave earlier is if your job involves company strategies, like marketing campaigns, with information useful to a competitor. If your job is more mundane, they'll let you hang around.
If management, just keep laptop at home and say you are feeling ill and work both jobs until they catch you.
If non-management, working for competitors might be instant dismissal.
If you want, send me your laptop and I’ll do your job, create a Teams Emoji, and you get paid, just send me a little through Venmo.
Stay on payroll until 12/31 to be eligible for bonus payout in March. I wouldn’t say anything until January.

Why resign ? Just leave computer in your cubicle if you have one and see how long you get paid.
