By the time you're let go it's too late. Plan ahead - if there are hints your position is at risk, start actively look early in the year - get another position in or outside the bank. Having multiple managers over a few years, increasing the P&I headcount on your team, in scope to be moved into the COO team to rationalize your function, new policy & procedures that reduce your groups work, and many more a signs you need to GTFO. Lookout for yourself and your family - because Wells will not. You have to treat this like a business transaction where being loyal just does not matter.

Fighting a company is another job. Your case will be a drain on your time. Your lawyers are your new bosses. There will be times when you will think it is not worth it.
