Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CFO said we will b " focused on force and benefits" , aka layoffs

Well you hear it directly from the horses mouth Pascal says they are going to be focused on force and benefits, which really means more labor cuts and shittier benefits packages.

I suspect a lot will have to do with incoming administration adnd what kind of regulatory breaks /incentives come T's way

When will the rest of you wake up?

They, leadership, are taking your jobs and benefits to serve themselves.

Yet, you won’t organize to take from them.

If you don’t see the need to unionize, you are low IQ. They have forced your hand.

Where is the CWA. I want a vote. Now!

The idea that T will not have any layoffs in 2025 (whether explicit or hidden) is as big and obvious a lie as Haitians eating pets in Ohio.

T has had multiple layoffs every year for at least the last 10 years (when I first had to suffer this company), and almost certainly going back far longer.

As long as T is run by arrogant, greedy, incompetent oligarchs like Stink or Randy, there will be layoffs to compensate for their blunders and gross mismanagement.

Any sycophant from the top telling you otherwise is just micturating on your shoes and telling you it's sweet summer rain.

And in Shannon Town Hall she states no forecasted layoffs in 2025. But does the song-and-dance when asked about not enough seating, parking for 5 day RTO that 'we are looking into your concerns'. Word salad of 'lean into collaborative culture' for reason of 5 days in office for US workers. Guess there's no need for collaboration in India or Czech republic. Term 'we value flexibility' -- what a JOKE.

They will be downsizing in 2025. They just want employees to quit under the increasingly bad work conditions: no desk space, no parking, no cafeterias, no assigned seating so have to carry your equipment in every day to over-crowded situation after walking from God-knows-where-you-had-to-park-car every single day, possible muggings, etc. My God, hate to see how they increase the toxic work environment further to ensure we are so miserable we quit.

They will be downsizing but will be stingy on the severance packages so C-suite can save every dime in order to reward themselves with increased payout via the $20 billion stock buyback.

From Linkedin, head count reduces to 65k by end of 2025 . May the force be with you. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/return-office-mandates-so-quiet-layoffs-greg-walters--uwrde?utm_source=share&utm_medium=guest_mobile_web&utm_campaign=copy

The only ‘news’ is they actually stated it.
In a recent town hall leadership shared, more than once, there will be reductions in 2025 as well.
Same thing that has happened for the past several years (layoffs) the only difference is they are openly stating it.
T is not making revenue!

Get ready for 2025!
