Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Layoff Question

From experience, does anyone know if they stop layoffs in December then pick back up in the new year? The 12th and the 26th are the Tuesday's after payday. It would su-k to be laid off on the 26th

It does slow some, but it never stops for holidays. They termed right before Thanksgiving, they termed in December last year, and they termed during "Employee appreciation week". What does the trend tell you.

Being let go this month would be a terrific Christmas gift. But alas, Grinch Charlie probably won't make it happen.

December 2023 there were 1500 folks off boarded, this included displacements, terminations, people quitting or retiring, basically everything … this is across the bank, not sure what this year’s number will look like

Historically, they seem to greatly reduce the number of layoffs on a week with a holiday. So I'd imagine not a lot happening on the 24th.

However, the 10th is still on the table.

(You mention the 12th and 26th. Those are Thursdays?
