I agree with the previous post maybe we can strike a little longer next time if the company wants to play their ULP games. Start saving now Wire techs and Utility, now you know going forward.

Best raise we have gotten after the strike, could have been a little better but we stopped the $6,600 healthcare deductible that the company wanted to hang on us. It just wasn’t long enough, was enjoying the time off after working so much forced OT over the years.

June 2020 - saw offer of 50k plus SIPP for techs in D3. Quite a few that have become retirement eligible since then are just holding out for an offer and will hit the door running. Payroll saved by ATT during agreed upon ( wink, wink ) month long strike will fund the much needed offloading of surplus core techs.

….lots of techs with lots of days with multiple hours of exception time, sometimes all day, due to lack of work.

Bargained for surpluses in D3 SE are announced on the 15th day prior to the start of the next qtr. Next announcement is Dec. 15. Don’t expect a large surplus due to CEO’s recent interview on future guidance to continue building out the fiber network and the near completion for the copper network decommissioning by 2029. Will also continue the 5G upgrade on the mobile side. Also expects for free cash flow to grow to 18 billion while giving back to investors through stock buybacks and dividends.

Surplus.
I guess it depends on if you are a manager or craft.
If you are craft, depends on district contract.
Dist 9, surplus means I can get paid to retire.
Like ice cream on a piece of apple pie.

That is true if you’re old enough to retire. Of course surplus goes from the bottom up and if the senior saves the junior that is voluntary severance. Much less $$$$

BS. 2 weeks ago a midmarket account manager layoffs affected thousands.

Get used to it. The layoffs and resignations will continue until the Stanks bonus grows large.

If they are going to surplus any occupational, it will be next week. They haven't had a big surplus that effected a lot of employees for a while now, so this could be the time where the company lets loose on us!!!
