Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I am nearing piping time. I am ready to leave but I am not playing their games. If they pip me I wont sign. They are going to have to fire me. I know someone who stretched out their employment for two years and then got fired by exxon. They were able to get unemployment after the firing and a few more years for the pension. Exxon is very afraid of lawsuits and the publicity of age discrimination. I loved the way the supervisors and managers suffered because of this person. Remember when you accept their pip terms you sign away your right to sue them. I say do it what do you have to lose. It can make a difference if you are under the age of 60. Any more years you can get add to the pension and payout. Don't go down easy go down hard. Fight until the end and let everyone know you are piped and forced out. They hate when you say you were piped they want you to say you elected to leave or retire. They are afraid you will scare the young ones. I was told not to talk about the unfair ranking to the new hires. Hit them hard.
