No one cares about the train station restoration. Now, Notre Dame, that's worth talking about! What a magnificent building!

You said, stock owned by Ford family gives them the upper hand, on paper is a publicly traded company but in reality Ford family can do whatever they want. Dig It !!!
Nobody can't deny that the main roadblock at Ford is precisely Billy. Nevertheless, Ford has squeezed Dearborn of its life, at least Ford is doing something for Detroit. At least Ford is doing something following the leadership of the Illich Family. What a shame for Ford GM Chrysler (bunch of greedy companies who never cared for their White / Blue collar employees) that a 2nd class Pizza or a mortgage company are more relevant to Detroit than the small 3
5txg+1vRSM9lC for the record FORD is a public owned company. it is the stock structure that gives the family their power. all it takes is for one of the large hedge funds to dump the stock and ford will go down. Dig That.
Lets all be honest if his name was not on the side of the building none of those family members would be where they are. Also for the record in the spring in 06 BF was fired by his own family as president and CEO of ford. You would think WS would have caught that.
Sincerely, working in Corktown is the absolute coolest location(s) in FoMoCo. I also worked at TFAC.
Love or hate the company, working in a downtown loft building like TFAC or a historic site like the train station is a very unique experience when working at a company our size.
At least Ford is trying to revitalize Detroit, while GM is looking to demolish Ren Center. Where do you see formerly know Chrysler presence in Detroit ? nowhere !
Better to having Small 3 investing in Detroit than wasting $ in Europe.
Ford is a FAMILY owned company, BF can do whatever he wants even if those who work for Ford do not like it. Dig It !
What I don't understand is why we didn't charge $25 - $50 a ticket for the concerts to cover expenses and donate the balance to a charity? Not sure how much it cost for the shindig but people would have paid $25- $50 a ticket and we could have at least covered cost.
@2sxq+1vRSM9lC aka Clueless, we Michigan TAXPAYERS were also forced to ante up $207,000,000 to polish Bill Ford’s toy train station. The next biggest failure is there are no trains and no passengers.
It’s Ford / the Boards, the investors and other her stakeholders money that was spent on the building. Get over it.
Guess which cost more? Here’s a clue, not the cathedral.
Would love to know how many employees had to be fired to make up for that mistake??? ( destroy peoples lives and don’t care.)
If no one cares about the Train Station why are we posting here about it? I know I don't care...but you keep bringing it up. If you don't care quit posting about it and putting the idea back on this board. Any press for it is good press. Don't give it any.
I care.
Give BF a participation trophy and send him to sit at the kids table. Let the grownups take over and clean your mess up (I’m sure, not the first time).
Spending all of that money on the train station was a master stroke of stupidity. The money should have been used to fund a Ford program which should have benefited the company and the people who work for the company. Instead it was wasted on something which is destined to become yet another Detroit failure. BF really needs to be forced out because he’s ruining what was a great company.
Yep all that property in Dearborn and BF decides he wants to purchase the largest "CRACK HOUSE" in the world. So what is the train station?
1st it was supposed to be a tech hub to rival silicone valley. That not working
2nd an event center
3rd Apartments- wow just what you want razor wire looks like a war zone down there
So BF you wanted a legacy well you are doing it... 5-10yrs CHAPTER 11
