Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Government funding / Employee Treatment

Corporate America has become too focused on shareholder returns at the expense of employees wellbeing. It’s time the government steps in especially when company’s are receiving tax dollars. Part of the requisite to receiving government contracts should be how companies are treating their employees. Governments are in place to protect their citizens, so employee sentiment should be considered when awarding these lucrative contracts.

What’s better for employees is often better for investors.
I’ll go to the end of the earth and work my a-s off for an employer that treats me right, treats me like a human, and lets me operate with autonomy.
Treat me like sh-t like Stankey and T have and I’ll be maliciously compliant and actively undermine you.

You think having a staff full of employees that hate you and the company is good for shareholder returns, productivity, and long term health of the company?

15% tax rate for those corps NOT offshoring jobs is what Trump said.

AT&T and many others will pay the 21% rate because they offshore jobs.

You DEI fa----s aren't very bright. You lose elections and still make the same mistakes. Course correct or at least pay attention.

Shareholders have all the risk and little control of their returns. They deserve the lions share of the profits.
An employee gets a payday weekly without fail. If there is excessive profits, pay the Shareholders before employees.

Make America great again. Give corporate tax breaks to companies who send all the work to India. Can’t make this stuff up

This has been going on for decades.
It happened under Clinton and all Presidents since. Sorry folks, nobody is going to save the unions.
T will automate as many jobs as possible, including the Techs. Cloud services, fiber and plug/play will eliminate Tech jobs. Fiber buildout will slow, then stop.

“Government is not your savior you dopey fool.”

Why be an a$$ with your comment. Just post your point of view and have a discussion like an adult.

Many folks who post here should grow up and be decent regardless of your opinion.

Wish in one hand and p-o in the other and tell me which ones fills up the fastest. More government is not the solution! You may want to work on not playing the victim.

WTF?

Where have you been for the last 5 years?

This company is not run for the benefit of shareholders.
This company is not run for the benefit of employees (certainly).
This company is not run for the benefit of customers.

This company is the personal piggy bank of the Stink - the greatest POS in history!

I would vote for forced profit sharing. No company should be able to buy back its own stock to enrich shareholders (mostly board members and Blackrock) without contributing equal amounts of capital to employees wages and bonuses.
