I'm surplused on the 13th. They announced it weeks ago
Management employees are a lot cheaper to cut.
I’m a field technician and can honestly say there is only abound 3-4 hours of work available per day on any given week. It’s a great job if you can get it!
Some obviously don’t know how BFS rolls.
No company is going to continue to pay people to do nothing.
Let’s just think about this comment for a moment.
Sorry to disappoint but the December Surplus VTP date was eliminated at the request of CWA National so that employees could enjoy the Holidays
LOL...The company doesn't care about the holidays. Just ask all managers that have been laid off recently. Only thing that is saving them at this point is the watermark. DUH!

"T contract has the highest severance. They’ll look somewhere cheaper to cut heads"
The T employees are the ones that have little to no work so will be let go at some point. No company is going to continue to pay people to do nothing. Most T union employees work about 1-5 hours a day and get paid for 8. lol.... And if you think their severance payments will make a dent in at&t's pocketbook you are CRAZY.
What Union district? What job titles?
Or just another blanket statement to sound smart.
He-l, it even breaks down to county and city.
Sorry guys, but the techs eligible for 104 weeks of severance are not going to see that payout anytime soon! It's just too costly to T and they can't justify paying technicians to leave when T could keep them on the payroll and still performing a service! So, fagetaboudit!
If AT&T can't get what we sell installed within 30 days, we will take that business to other carriers who are not as difficult to deal with.
